converting the monotone main entrance of a mall, that once housed a water body with fountains into a high-attractive and contemporary restaurant setting, can be challenging from many perspectives. entering the building, it is necessary to trigger the visitor’s imagination and remove the rawness of the concrete structure. another vital aspect is procuring mutual interest and agreement among all stakeholders including restaurant’s owners and mall owners, for example. the use of tensile structure and elevated slabs should be brought into the project to realize the architect’s vision in a turnkey fashion. only with a concept development, the design process present challenges for the required interfacing of a new structural system into an existing building.

the addition of innovative elements, such as stainless steel wire rigging systems, integrated gutter systems that features dynamic lighting, traction structures and elevated slabs, we can be ensured this set of innovative building components will serve as reinforcement for development of a successful design proposal. the final product implies creativity and playfulness that transitions the visitors from the urban streetscape into a renovated atrium space; indirectly, we are provides the beautification of common areas, assuming the water-body and waterfall-fountains in disuse for over 15 years, as a base that supports the deployment.
